Who we are
FirstPoint Healthcare Consultancy Limited (trading as Dental Funding) is a specialist healthcare finance and consultancy business based in the UK. We provide funding, credit broking, and business consultancy services to healthcare professionals and practice owners.
We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and act as both the data controller and data processor for the personal information you provide to us.
How we use your information
We take your privacy seriously and use your personal information only where it is lawful and necessary to provide our services.
This includes:
- Sourcing and presenting funding options through our panel of lenders
- Providing business and financial consultancy services
We may share information with:
- Our panel of lenders and funding partners, in order to secure appropriate finance options for you
- Professional advisers, such as accountants, solicitors, or valuers, where necessary for your application
- Credit reference agencies and fraud prevention agencies, to verify identity and creditworthiness
- Insurers, if you apply for insurance or protection products through our partners
We will not share your information with anyone outside our approved panel except as required by law or to prevent fraud.
Your personal data
What we collect
We collect and process the following types of information:
- Name, address date of birth, and contact details
- Employment and business information
- Financial information including bank details and credit history (where relevant)
- Identification documents (if required for due diligence or lender compliance)
In some cases, we may collect “special category” data (for example, health-related details) where it is necessary for a regulated product or service and with your explicit consent.
Why we collect it
We process your data to enable us to:
- Deliver our consultancy and broking services
- Meet contractual and regulatory obligations
- Carry out due diligence for lenders and financial institutions
- Contact you about your applications or funding proposals
The lawful bases for processing your data include Contract, Legitimate Interests, and Consent, as defined under the UK GDPR.
How we store and protect it
All personal data is stored electronically on secure, encrypted UK-based cloud servers. We maintain appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial safeguards to protect your information from unauthorised access or disclosure.
No third party has access to your data unless it is required by law or directly relevant to the service we are providing to you.
How long we keep it
We retain client records and personal data for six years after the completion of your funding or consultancy engagement. This meets our regulatory and legal obligations. After that period, data will be securely deleted or anonymised. Marketing data will be retained only while you have an active relationship with us or until you opt out.
Your rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- To request access to the data we hold about you
- To request correction or deletion of inaccurate information
- To withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- To request restriction or object to certain processing activities
Requests are free of charge unless they are excessive or repetitive.
